We are seeking an entry-level Accountant to join our team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This is a permanent opportunity with Robert Half. As an Accountant, you will be engaging in various accounting tasks, including the preparation of financial statements, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

• Process and maintain accurate records of financial transactions

• Effectively utilize accounting software systems to perform daily tasks

• Conduct monthly and year-end closings

• Prepare and maintain financial statements, cash flow projections, and budgets

• Perform account reconciliations, including prepaid expenses, payroll, and other assignments

• Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP

• Participate in the preparation of journal entries and fixed asset maintenance

• Conduct analysis of income statements and balance sheets and communicate findings to management

• Coordinate with external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes

• Utilize skills in account coding and account analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting

• Work with ERP solutions and Adobe Acrobat for document management and record keeping

• Possess knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Familiarity with Accounting Software Systems is required
• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat for document management
• Experience with Dynamics NAV and other ERP Solutions would be beneficial
• Ability to perform account analysis and accounting entries
• Understanding of general accounting functions
• Experience in account reconciliation process
• Capability to manage Accounts Payable (AP)
• Proficiency in account coding process
• A degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
