Agile Coach mentors, guides and supports performance optimization for an Agile team.

An Agile Coach observes the team structure, operations and performance - including each individual team member’s role and practices. Collaboratively with the team, the Agile Coach works to ensure the team sets and follows agreements, adheres to those adopted practices and methods and is on a continuous improvement path toward high performance. Agile Coach’s work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations, interactions and performance requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Description:

An Agile Coach reviews the agile team structure, guides to helps determine and recommend changes and approaches to the team as needed to reach high performance. The Agile Coach may develop team influencing strategies, collaborate to design and adopt Agile team agreements, and drive team continuous improvement. An Agile Coach begins to influence a department’s strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding team dynamics. And helps assess training levels approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. An Agile Coach Exercises interpretation and guided observation in determining objectives and approaches to improving team performance.

Additional Duties:

• Ensuring that Agile teams are ready to operate in an Agile organization and on the path toward high performance
• Assist in analyzing team performance and resources
• Preparing communications, status updates and other messaging related to coaching activities
• Support continuous improvement for the CDS Agile Coaching Office

Key qualifications:

• Experience working in Agile Delivery teams as a practitioner. E.g. Product Owner, Scrum Master
• Software Development Experience a plus.
• Previous Agile Coaching experience and/or certifications a strong plus.
• Continuous learning mindset.
• Ability to translate agile frameworks and methodologies into team practice models.
• Ability to instruct and mentor
• Ability to lead through influence
• Good communication skills - will interface with leaders, team members and vendor representatives.
• Dependable and self-directed - we need this individual to operate with clear guidance and low supervision.
• Previous experience in Healthcare is a plus, but not required.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills required.
• On site in Louisville required.
