AI-Powered Interactive Learning Software Developer – Washington, DC

MUST BE LOCATED IN THE WASHINGTON, DC AREA

The artificial intelligence (AI)-Powered Interactive Learning Software Developer will design and develop an adaptive video-based learning experience that combines AI algorithms with interactive, branching storylines. This role integrates generative AI technologies with instructional human actor video, text, and image design to create dynamic, personalized learning paths that respond intelligently to user actions. Ideal candidates will bring expertise in practical generative AI technologies, natural language processing (NLP), and interactive learning design, ensuring that the AI teaching application provides a rich and engaging educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Develop AI-Driven Learning Modules : Implement generative AI models and algorithms to support adaptive and personalized learning experiences within an interactive, branching storyline framework.
• Create Dynamic, Branching Storylines : Design engaging storylines that guide users through personalized learning journeys, responding to choices with AI-driven adjustments.
• Integrate NLP and Conversational AI : Implement NLP for conversational interactions, allowing the AI learning coach to respond naturally to user queries and inputs.
• Collaborate Across Teams : Work closely with instructional designers, product managers, and software developers to ensure learning modules meet educational objectives and provide a seamless user experience.
• Optimize Learning Experience with Data-Driven Insights : Continuously enhance and optimize the learning experience by analyzing user interaction data and refining AI models to improve learning outcomes and engagement.
• Ensure Scalability and Performance : Build systems that can scale across various learning scenarios while maintaining optimal performance and responsiveness.

Skills and Qualifications:

• AI and generative AI Learning Expertise : Strong background in generative AI learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and AI techniques, especially in NLP, reinforcement learning, and recommendation systems.
• Interactive Learning Design : Proven experience with interactive learning tools, branching narrative design, and decision-tree frameworks to create engaging educational content.
• Programming Skills : Proficiency in languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar, with experience in AI model integration within an educational platform.
• NLP and Conversational AI : Knowledge in natural language processing (e.g., transformers, conversational AI models) for responsive, context-aware interactions.
• EdTech or Game Design Experience (Preferred) : Background in EdTech or game-based learning, especially with adaptive or AI-driven learning environments.
