Job Description

Bacio di Latte is growing and we are adding an Project Management Assistant to our dynamic team!

Bacio di Latte is a family owned, high-end gelato shop, making fresh authentic Italian gelato every day in house. Established in 2011, Bacio di Latte has over 190+ stores in Brazil and 9 shops throughout Southern California, and we are growing at a rapid pace! We will open 9 additional stores by the end of 2025 and 8+ stores in 2026.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our team at Bacio di Latte. This role will assist in the coordination of new Gelato Shop location openings, ensuring that each project is completed on time, within scope, and within budget, requiring someone with exceptional organizational skills, a strong sense of ownership, and a passion for creative problem-solving. Experience in the food & beverage industry is a plus! The ideal candidate brings 1+ year experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Intern in Construction/Expansion, preferably in retail or hospitality . This role is 100% ONSITE at our Marina del Rey Headquarters and will travel onsite to our Los Angeles & OC shops . *Must currently reside in Los Angeles.*

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager in planning and executing new Gelato store openings
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution
  • Monitor project progress and alert any issues that arise
  • Maintain project documentation, including timelines, budgets, and reports
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and quality of work when needed
  • Ensure that all necessary documentation for the opening is issued
  • Support the Project Manager in conducting meetings and providing updates to stakeholders
  • Help in the development and implementation of project management processes and best practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field
  • 6 months - 1+ year experience as an Assistant Project Manager -OR- Project Management Intern in Construction/Expansion, preferably in retail or hospitality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel - Asana or Trello a plus
  • Project planning and execution - Budget Management a plus
  • Must currently reside in Los Angeles, CA - This role is 100% onsite in Marina del Rey, CA and will travel onsite to our Los Angeles & OC shops

Salary range for this role is $52,000 - $56,000. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
