Overview

As the Custodian you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and general upkeep of the facilities. This role includes routine cleaning tasks, minor repairs, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all members and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing restrooms and common areas
• Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste
• Conduct minor repairs and maintenance tasks, including changing light bulbs, fixing leaks, and basic plumbing and carpentry work
• Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
• Ensure all areas are clean, organized, and safe for use
• Report any major maintenance or repair needs to the facilities manager
• Assist with setting up and breaking down for events and activities as needed
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience in janitorial or maintenance work preferred
• Basic knowledge of maintenance and repair tasks
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude
• Physical ability to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks, including lifting and moving equipment

Schedule: Flexible, with a start time in the afternoon (Full-time)

Compensation: $23.00 - $27.00 Hourly
