Job Title: Director of Marketing and Public Relations Location: Alaska (USA) and Canadian Rockies (Canada) Position Type: Full-Time Salaried Job Overview: The Director of Marketing and Public Relations will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing and PR strategies with a focus on revenue and performance. This role requires a dynamic leader with a passion for hospitality, a deep understanding of the travel and tourism industry, and the ability to manage and inspire a diverse team. The Director will work closely with senior management to align marketing initiatives with business objectives and drive growth across both locations. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning: Develop and implement integrated marketing and PR strategies for both resorts. Identify target markets and create tailored campaigns to attract diverse guest segments. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions. Marketing Campaigns: Design and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital, print, social media, and email marketing. Utilize SEO, SEM, and PPC strategies to increase online presence and drive traffic to the resorts’ websites. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, adjusting strategies as needed. Management: Work close with the Senior Director of Brand Strategy to ensure alignment of brand and voice. Public Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, influencers, and industry partners. Oversee the creation and distribution of press releases, media kits, and other PR materials. Organize and manage media events, press tours, and other PR initiatives to generate positive coverage. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Set clear goals and performance metrics for the team, conducting regular evaluations and providing constructive feedback. Ensure continuous professional development for team members through training and development opportunities. Collaborate and build strong relationships with our agency partners. Event Promotion: Coordinate marketing efforts for events and conferences held at both resorts. Develop promotional materials and strategies to maximize attendance and engagement. Collaborate with event organizers to ensure seamless execution and positive guest experiences. Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing and PR budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources. Track expenditures and ROI, making data-driven decisions to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in marketing and public relations, within the hospitality industry. Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing and PR campaigns. A passion for travel, hospitality, and the outdoors. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in digital marketing tools and analytics platforms. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
