Salary: $160,000 - $225,000 per year
A bit about us: We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and dedicated Family Law Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The selected candidate will handle a diverse caseload involving a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, custody disputes, adoption, domestic violence, property division, and guardianship. Job Details As a Family Law Attorney, you will be responsible for:
1. Managing a comprehensive caseload of family law matters, from initial client consultation through resolution.
2. Conducting thorough legal research and drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
3. Representing clients in court, presenting evidence, arguing cases, and making persuasive legal arguments.
4. Providing legal advice and counseling to clients on family law matters, helping them understand their rights and options.
5. Negotiating settlements and agreements on behalf of clients, striving to achieve the best possible outcomes.
6. Handling property division matters, ensuring equitable distribution of assets and debts.
7. Assisting with adoption processes, guardianship cases, and domestic violence issues, protecting the rights and interests of clients and their families.
8. Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times, adhering to ethical standards and guidelines.
9. Staying updated on changes and developments in family law, continuously improving your knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Family Law Attorney position should have:
1. A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in family law, with a proven track record of success.
3. A valid license to practice law in the state.
4. Strong case management skills, with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
5. Excellent legal writing and research skills, with a keen attention to detail.
6. Exceptional client counseling skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach.
7. Proven negotiation skills, with the ability to resolve disputes and reach agreements.
8. Experience in making court appearances, with strong public speaking and presentation skills.
9. Knowledge of property division, adoption law, domestic violence, and guardianship.
10. A commitment to ethical practice, maintaining the highest levels of professionalism and confidentiality.
