Finance Operations Specialist - Entry Level
Contract:
6-12 months (possible extension/perm)
Pay Range : $22-24/hour

Russell Tobin is hiring for a respectable company in the financial industry . This position offers a hybrid work schedule with three days in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and two days remote (Monday, Friday), totaling 40 hours per week with a one-hour lunch break.

Key Responsibilities:

- Process and Reconcile Transactions: Manage global processing, balancing, and reconciling of custody positions related to dividend and interest payments.
- Instruction Management: Receive, authenticate, and verify payment instructions, ensuring compliance with dual control procedures.
- Client Payment Management: Collect global client dividend and interest income payments, validate payment advice against client receivables, and resolve client entitlement issues.
- Issue Resolution: Make decisions on whether to repair discrepancies or contact sub-custodians or depositories for resolution; escalate complex issues to management as necessary.
- Reporting and Documentation: Generate and review custody and operations-related reports for daily, weekly, and monthly management reporting.
- Discrepancy Management: Repair and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner while keeping clients informed of the status.
- Trend Analysis: Identify and analyze trends in payment repairs at the event, sub-custody, and market levels.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to process improvement initiatives, focusing on enhancing straight-through processing (STP) and achieving division goals.
- Client Service Standards: Assist in measuring client service standards and support activities that ensure high-quality client service.
- Professional Communication: Communicate effectively and professionally to resolve issues and manage client relationships constructively.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Technical Skills: Advanced PC skills with demonstrated proficiency in Excel; knowledge of MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word) and internet applications.
- Analytical Abilities: Ability to identify, escalate, and resolve problems; strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication abilities for professional interactions.
- Time Management: Efficiently manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and support team objectives.
