An Addison Group client is looking for a HR Manager to join their team before year end.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with the management team to understand and implement the organization's human resource and talent strategy, focusing on current and future talent needs, recruitment, retention, and succession planning.
- Provides support and advice to HR generalists, management, and staff on complex, sensitive issues; may handle routine tasks in delicate situations, such as reasonable accommodations, investigations, and terminations.
- Oversees the talent acquisition process, including recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified candidates for managerial, exempt, and professional positions; works with departmental managers to identify required skills and competencies.
- Manages the workers' compensation case management process.
- Analyzes compensation and benefits trends; researches and recommends competitive base and incentive pay programs to attract and retain top talent.
- Develops learning and development programs that offer internal growth opportunities for employees.
- Conducts employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as recommended best practices; reviews policies to maintain compliance.
- Stays informed about trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Collaborates with the HR Director in overall HR team management.
- Prepares and maintains the employee handbook on policies and procedures with the HR Director.
- Assesses job descriptions and resumes.
- Acts as a liaison between employees and the Company.
- Conducts exit interviews.
- Maintains open communication with all Company departments regarding their hiring and personnel needs.
- Implements the employee engagement program, including updating the performance program in conjunction with the HR Director.
- Participates in HR staff meetings and training as assigned.
- Manages projects as delegated.
Supervisory Responsibilites:
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new department staff.
- Oversees daily workflow within the department.
- Provides timely and constructive performance evaluations.
- Manages employee discipline and termination in line with company policy.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- 5-7 years of experience in human resources or a related field.
- Proven experience managing key HR functions such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean motor vehicle record (MVR) required.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of ADP is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with employees at all levels and building strong working relationships.
- Leadership and interpersonal skills to mentor HR staff and collaborate with company leadership.
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks appropriately.
- Integrity and professionalism in all actions.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple HR processes and initiatives, including recruitment and compliance.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to resolve conflicts and address employee concerns fairly.
- Knowledge of HR laws and regulations, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and EEO.
- Analytical and decision-making skills to assess HR metrics and implement improvement strategies.
- Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and other HR software.
- Ethical and confidential handling of sensitive employee information.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in HR records, contracts, and compliance documentation.
