Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Network Engineer with deep expertise in Routing (BGP), Switching, WAN, and SD-WAN technologies. This role requires someone with practical experience in IP Subnetting and a strong understanding of SASE (preferred). As a key player in our networking team, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, reliability, and security of our network infrastructure. You will work closely with higher-ups and clients, so strong communication skills are essential. If you have a proven track record working in a larger network environment and are highly skilled in networking technologies, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities:
• Routing & Switching: Expertise in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and switching protocols to ensure optimal network performance.
• WAN & SD-WAN: Manage and optimize wide-area networks (WAN) and experience implementing SD-WAN solutions for enhanced network flexibility and performance.
• Subnetting: Apply IP Subnetting principles to effectively manage network address spaces and ensure efficient network design.
• SASE Knowledge: While not mandatory, experience with SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) is highly preferred, especially for those wanting to stand out.
• Network Engineering Focus: Maintain and optimize a large-scale network, working on troubleshooting, configuration, and performance tuning.
• Collaboration: Work directly with leadership and clients, providing clear and concise communication regarding technical solutions and improvements.
• Cloud Integration: Collaborate with cloud teams on cloud platform integration (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and apply cloud security best practices.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in network engineering with a focus on SD-WAN and SSE technologies.
• Extensive experience with SD-WAN solutions from leading vendors (e.g., Cisco Viptela, VMware VeloCloud, Fortinet, Versa Networks). Versa experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in SSE (Secure Service Edge) solutions from top vendors (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Zscaler, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., VPN, firewalls, IDS/IPS) and security technologies.
• IP Subnetting: Practical, hands-on experience in IP subnetting.
• Routing: In-depth experience with Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).
• Switching & WAN: Extensive experience in switching and managing WAN networks.
• Cloud Platform Experience: Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and integration.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with clients and upper management.
Preferred Qualifications:
• SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) experience is a strong plus.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CISSP, SD-WAN Specialist, SSE Specialist, or similar.
