We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Permanent Operations Manager to join our thriving manufacturing company. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our projects and teams, ensuring that we meet our strategic goals and deliver superior service to our clients. This position will involve managing daily operations, coordinating project schedules, overseeing maintenance activities, and ensuring safety standards are met.
Responsibilities:
As an Operations Manager, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities:
1. Oversee daily operations, ensuring that all activities are carried out effectively and efficiently.
2. Develop and manage rosters, ensuring that all staff members are assigned to appropriate tasks and projects.
3. Coordinate project scheduling, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
4. Oversee maintenance activities, ensuring that all equipment and facilities are kept in optimal condition.
5. Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring that all staff members adhere to these standards.
6. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures, ensuring that these are consistently followed.
7. Coordinate with other department managers to ensure that all operations are aligned with our strategic goals.
8. Monitor and report on operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 10 years of experience in an operations management role within the engineering industry.
3. Proven experience in roster management, project scheduling, maintenance management, and safety enforcement.
4. Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff members.
5. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
6. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify operational issues and implement effective solutions.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to staff members, clients, and other stakeholders.
8. Proficiency in using various software applications for roster management, project scheduling, and maintenance management.
