Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh is hiring a Pharmacy Intern to work out of the Children's Hospital Outpatient Pharmacy, Pint Size Prescriptions, which is part of the of the UPMC Retail Pharmacy Network. We fill retail prescription orders for patients leaving the hospital and those visiting for clinic appointments.
\nThe Pharmacy Intern will perform a wide variety of functions to support the provision of pharmaceutical care to patients at UPMC. These services will be provided in compliance with state and federal regulations, the Joint Commission Standards and the mission and policies of the hospital and departments. The internship provides a hands-on experience and a challenging environment to progressively develop the operational and clinical skills to grow in the field of pharmacy. Scheduling requirements are practice site specific and determined by departmental needs. Intern shifts can include daylight, evening, weekend, and holiday requirements. Specific information on scheduling will be further discussed during the interview process.
