Family in Miami (Coconut Grove) looking to hire an experienced and professional Private Chef with outstanding culinary skills to prepare fresh, nutritious meals for the family and their guests. The residence features a newly designed, state of the art chef's kitchen, and the household is supported by a full staff.

Generally, lunch and dinner, Tuesday to Saturday. Sunday and Monday off as a rule.

Start date late January 2025. In-Person interviews on Thursday, 12/05.

Responsibilities:

• See to the needs of the principals and their guests with the highest level of service
• Daily grocery shopping; inventory and procurement of food, wine, and pantry items
• Daily meal preparation including lunch and dinner on most days
• Clean up after meals, clean kitchen and dining area, label and store food as necessary
• Keep all floors, tables and countertops in kitchen, dining room, and pantry immaculate
• Menu planning, from simple to elaborate
• Spend money wisely
• Food preparation and serving for small dinner parties and gatherings (2-12 guests)
• Alongside the House Manager, arrange and oversee caterers/staff for larger functions as needed
• Manage inventory of dishes, china, serve-ware, flatware, crystal, silver, table linens, and bar/glassware

Qualifications:

• Culinary degree is preferred
• Verifiable experience in a similar position for a private family
• Honest, diligent, responsible, efficient, courteous, and discreet
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
• Hands-on approach to all tasks, and when necessary, ability to delegate
• Positive, pleasant personality, team player
• Excellent time management skills
• Able to communicate effectively and readily with principals, House Manager and other staff
• Fluent English. Spanish a plus.
• Possess a valid driver's license and legal to work in the USA

Schedule:

General work schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, lunch and dinner with the flexibility to work additional hours in the evenings or weekends as requested

Compensation:

• Compensation of up to $150,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.
• Benefits package includes medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), PTO, and paid holidays.
