Job Description

• The estimator will coordinate full estimating services a company that specializes in industrial epoxy and Painting.
• Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate
• Identify competitive edge strategies and follow through to project award
• Develop a project schedule from bid document information
• Prepares cost estimates and bid documents for construction projects or services that are used by management in preparation of the bidding process
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of estimate and proposals
• Provide complete conceptual (or bid work) and final estimating input on complex projects
• Price general conditions and manpower projections
• Write proper scopes of work during bidding phase and upon award, engage in Subcontractor Proposal Review meetings, with ultimate responsibility of final evaluation and negotiation of Subcontracts
• Demonstrate a knowledge of contract structure, business law, insurance and bonding issues
• Schedule, run and effectively document meetings
• Prepare bid packages and compare and analyze competitive subcontract and supplier bids
• Review quotes and estimates with Project Team and prepare recommendations
• Interface with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction
• Track and report on current material and labor prices, including escalation
• Responsible for sound conceptual pricing assumptions with sound documentation for the basis of the estimate
• Ability to substantiate all aspects of final estimates
• Solve Problems - Identify, prioritize and implement alternatives for a solution
• Demonstrate Agility/ Adaptability - Maintain effectiveness and adjust to change by exploring the rationale, trying new approaches, and collaborating with others to make the change successful Jatca
