Overall Job Responsibilities and Tasks

• Conduct daily job site Safety inspections
• Support, promote, and maintain the strong established company Safety culture
• Assist with company-wide roll-outs of all Safety-related documents, trainings, policies, and procedures
• Engage employees in safe behaviors and work practices
• Assist Safety Manager with Hazard Assessment, Job Box Talks, and Vehicle Safety Reports
• Learn company business software
• Data entry for employee trainings and certifications
• Learn the corporate safety LMS and assist with assigning and documenting trainings
• Assist with accident/incident investigations, analyze near-misses, and perform root-cause analysis to determine next steps to prevent recurrence.
• Assist managers to create, coordinate, and facilitate trainings including company safety trainings; monthly department meetings; new-hire safety orientations; general safety awareness trainings; and other safety specific trainings
• Perform additional assignments, as required by company needs

Education and/or Experience (negotiable, willing to train to achieve)

• 3 years of construction and/or industrial experience required
• Knowledge of construction safety and health regulations, including OSHA construction/general industry and DOT
• Skills demonstrating an ability to lead and support coworkers
• Electrical experience beneficial
• OSHA30 for construction certified or willingness to complete course

• Highly motivated individual
• Valid driver's license
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Multitasking capabilities
• Flexibility to adjust work hours, when required
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check

Computer Skills

• Excellent computer skills required
• Ability to work with Microsoft Office and related computer applications

Language Skills

• Strong communications skills, both written and verbal, required to speak effectively with employees, customers, vendors, and subcontractors of the organization

Mathematical Skills

• Requires good mathematical skills to perform job functions

Reasoning Ability

• Excellent problem solving, planning, and organizational skills are required with a keen attention to detail

Collaborative Skills

• Ability to work cohesively within a team
