Job Description

As the Senior Clinical Data Scientist , you will partner with a broad range of stakeholders across the organization. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and presenting data that will drive critical growth decisions and positive outcomes.

1. Define and demonstrate clinical, operational and financial excellence of Best Buy Health products and services.
2. Lead collaborative relationships with external partners and conduct analyses to produce peer-reviewed scientific evidence about the economic value and return on investment for care at home programs.
3. Identify data sources, gaps in data, and metrics of value, considerations for preprocessing data, and potential internal improvements.
4. Maintain industry knowledge to support Best Buy Health as a subject matter expert and ensure we are considering the latest trends in data and clinical research (e.g. experimental design, HEOR methodologies).
5. Contribute and demonstrate knowledge of ‘bread and butter’ data science techniques within, and outside of, the team.

Basic qualifications

1. Master’s Degree in health economics, health service research, data science, epidemiology, public health or a closely related field.
2. 5+ years conducting comprehensive data analysis and research studies.
3. 3+ years of relevant experience within a healthcare / health technology setting.
4. Publication track record in clinical field.

Preferred qualifications

1. PhD.
2. 5+ years of experience leading data science strategy in a healthcare or health technology setting.
3. 3+ years of health economics and outcomes research experience.
4. Strong relationship-building skills.
5. Strong communication skills, including executive presence.
