1 Jira Admin – help support them to migrate to Jira Cloud. Right now, doing Jira and ServiceNow … consolidating everything to Informatica. Delivery Manager is heling to support this initiative as well. All under the same group. Project called Informatica Transformation Project.

  • Urgent need: this project has already kicked off and need people yesterday. Manager will make himself available for interviews ASAP.

The primary goal of the Jira Cloud Administrator is to assure proper organization of projects on the Jira Cloud platform. This includes configuring the layout, design, workflow, and dashboard. It is the administrator’s job to ensure each person on a project team has access to all materials needed. If there is training or an upgrade needed for a project, the administrator's responsibilities include providing the right resources to users. In addition, the Jira Cloud Administrator will be expected to be familiar with other components of the Atlassian Tool Stack such as BitBucket Cloud and BitBucket Pipelines.

This person will be an active participant in the Continuous Delivery Pipeline working closely with the Release Managers and Release Engineers on the IT Service Delivery team. In addition, this person will support the Delivery Managers in their use of Jira Cloud for managing the development backlog and pipeline.

 

**Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:**

1. Setup authentication and authorization systems (like LDAP)

2. Customize of workflows, fields, screens, permissions, notifications and issue type schemes.

3. Develop Jira best practices for functions such as bulk upload of issues and uploading Test-cases using plugins.

4. Maintain Jira in an efficient way so that it can integrate with other Atlassian tools. Develop Jira extracts and reports as needed by management.

**Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience**

• 5+ years’ experience as Jira Administrator with experience customizing Jira projects with various schemes, complex workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes required.

• Minimum of 4-5 years’ hands-on experience working with the Atlassian product suite, with specific focus on Jira as a Project/Application Administrator.

• Expert level Atlassian tool administration knowledge on Jira and Confluence.

• Ability to write custom JQL (Jira Query Language), a must.

• Ability to construct custom dashboards using various filter types in Jira, a must.

• Ability to construct Confluence pages and integrate Jira projects with Confluence pages, a plus

• Experience in performing Atlassian installations, migrations, and plugin installation, a must.

• Experience installing applications on VMs, monitoring performance, and tailing logs on Unix Systems Administration and Microsoft Windows Server, preferred.

• Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL Database administration skills are preferred.

• LDAP integration experience.

• Strong analytical skills.

• Ability to work in a dynamic agile environment.

• Must have strong work ethic with good time management skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
