Job Description We are searching for a Senior Orthopedic Techniciansomeone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide excellent customer service and assist the patient care team by providing casting and medical assistance to the licensed providers during patient scheduled clinic visits or patients in the emergency center. Provides operational assistance, ensuring and coordinating the intake and rooming of patients to effectively manage the patient visit cycle time. Think you've got what it takes Skills & Requirements H.S. Diploma or GED, some college preferred Required 3 years of Experience doing basic casting, splinting, and hardware maintenance Pediatric experience preferred Experience with club foot and plaster is preferred As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace, all successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards. Job Duties & Responsibilities Provides casting assistance to all members of the orthopedic sports medicine team Promotes customer service, patient safety, and communication Initiates and supports patient flow in the clinic by screening patient's and placing them in an exam room (Job Station: Weigh and Measure) Assists the provider with procedures and paperwork Provides oversight for all educational development and student programs Maintains inventory and ordering of all orthopedic supplies for the emergency center About Us Texas Children's Hospital West Campus is Houston's first community hospital designed, built and equipped exclusively for children in one of the city's most rapidly growing communities in the area from Sugar Land to Bryan-College Station, Texas.
