Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled SEO Content Contractor to join our team! In this role, you will play a vital part in our digital marketing efforts by creating and developing strategies for high-quality, SEO-optimized content. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the visibility of both client marketing initiatives and our internal marketing projects. Your expertise in search engine ranking will be key in driving success for various assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation: Develop and strategize engaging, SEO-optimized content tailored to target audiences. You will be responsible for writing 15-20 pieces of keyword-rich content across a variety of industries, topics, and trends, ensuring that it provides significant value to the intended audience.
Keyword Research: Conduct thorough keyword research to inform content strategies and target high-volume keywords for optimal ranking.
Content Optimization: Post and optimize articles and content on our CMS platform and social media channels, adhering to industry standards. Enhance existing copy, landing pages, and metadata to maximize organic exposure and conversions while keeping content engaging.
Editing Oversight: Review and edit SEO content produced by team members, ensuring it aligns with best practices for search engine optimization.
Performance Reporting: Analyze reports and data from tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console. Provide insights and articulate results of optimizations and initiatives, outlining next steps based on findings.

Strategy & Project Management:

SEO Content Strategy Development: Create tailored SEO content strategies and offer proactive recommendations for clients, taking into account their unique goals and challenges. Prioritize initiatives based on impact and ease of implementation.
Timelines and Deliverables: Establish timelines for key deliverables and delegate responsibilities to team members to ensure timely completion.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with web, paid, and creative teams to deliver initiatives on schedule and maintain a cohesive digital strategy.
Account Monitoring: Keep track of monthly retainer and project hours to ensure clients receive maximum value without exceeding budgets.

Additional Responsibilities:

Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest news, trends, and best practices in SEO, content marketing, and analytics, sharing insights with the team.
Business Development: Identify opportunities to enhance our SEO content services and pitch these ideas to clients to support business growth.
Team Training: Assist in training SEO content support staff on management initiatives and task setups.

Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of SEO principles as they apply to content marketing.
Experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEMRush.
Strong creative writing skills, with a focus on SEO best practices, critical analysis, and editing.
Familiarity with local search optimization techniques.
Basic understanding of HTML as it relates to SEO.
Experience implementing foundational SEO recommendations in a WordPress environment.
Ability to apply best practices across various social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
Excellent analytical, organizational, project management, and time management skills.
Attention to detail and ability to effectively manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously.
Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields such as English, Journalism, Communication, Marketing, or a related discipline.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in writing for online publications.
