A Spa Director oversees various aspects of the spa to ensure the location runs smoothly and efficiently. The Spa Director must have excellent organizational skills and extraordinary communication skills since they work with different departments to ensure the location runs smoothly throughout the year. A Spa Director also works with different departments to oversee various administrative tasks in the facility and with Providers to ensure the location will hit annual goals.
Spa Director responsibilities include:
Managing the day-to-day operations of the location
Hiring, overseeing training, and supervising administrative staff
Hiring, overseeing training, and supervising provider staff
Overseeing finances, including budgets and payroll, when needed
Collaborate with medical personnel to develop and assess business strategies
Monitor inventory and place orders for resupply; preventative maintenance on devices
Ensure our practice complies with industry regulations
Interact with patients and address any concerns or complaints
Organize patient records and other documents
Financial oversight for care credit, deposits, sales revenue
Conduct regular staff meetings and performance reviews
Work as a team to ensure the location runs efficiently and effectively
Meet with various vendor representatives
Crisis management of employees and equipment
Requirements and skills:
Proven work experience as a Practice Manager or Office Manager or Project Manager
Strong computer literacy
Leadership qualities with good communication skills
Ability to inspire and motivate others, resolve conflicts, and minimize drama
Adapt easily to change and execute those changes
Takes accountability for the team and does not become defensive when things go wrong
Excellent organizational abilities
Solid understanding of financial management
Professional appearance
Relevant training and/or certifications
Education & Experience:
High School education or equivalent experience.
Prior medical spa, plastic surgery, or dermatology office experience is a plus
Previous leadership/management experience is a plus
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of time standing
Prolonged periods of time sitting
Repetitive fine motor skill motions
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs at times
