Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specifications Writer to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for coordinating and preparing specifications for architectural projects, ensuring compliance with project requirements, and maintaining up-to-date Office Masters and the project library. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a comprehensive understanding of architectural practices, as well as the ability to provide expert guidance on specification-related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and prepare detailed specifications for a variety of architectural projects.
* Modify and update existing specifications to meet specific project needs and ensure accuracy.
* Conduct in-depth product research to recommend the best materials and construction methods.
* Maintain and manage Office Masters and the project library to ensure specifications remain current and accurate.
* Collaborate with project teams to ensure specifications align with project objectives and regulatory standards.
* Offer guidance and expert advice on specifications to team members and stakeholders.
* Ensure all specification documents are comprehensive, accurate, and compliant with industry standards.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in the architecture field.
* Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field.
* Certification from the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), with CCS or CDT preferred.
* Extensive experience with K-12 education, multi-family residential, hospitality, commercial, and industrial projects.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Acrobat Pro, Bluebeam, and relevant specification writing software.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
