Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Injection Mold Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role is responsible for the maintenance, cleaning, and repair of plastic injection molds , as well as troubleshooting mold issues to ensure optimal performance in injection molding presses. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in injection molding operations , strong technical skills, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on plastic injection molds
• Clean, inspect, and repair molds to ensure continuous production
• Install and fit mold replacement parts and components
• Operate precision machining tools and equipment for mold and part fabrication
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mold performance and press operation
• Interpret mold blueprints, tooling drawings, and quality dimensional data
• Maintain detailed maintenance records and mold repair logs
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and cleanroom procedures
• Communicate technical issues, quality concerns, and safety hazards promptly
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certification from a recognized tool & die or moldmaker apprentice program
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in injection molding or mold fabrication
• In-depth knowledge of injection mold design, tooling, and mold construction
• Ability to work within precise tolerances (±0.0005")
• Strong mathematical skills, including trigonometry and geometric formulas
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documents and blueprints
• Excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

• Exposure to loud machinery , moving mechanical parts, and occasional airborne particles
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and climbing stairs
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, color vision, and depth perception
