Entry-Level Hire Opportunities
Clark County Fire District 6 is creating an 18-month eligibility list for hiring Firefighter/Paramedics (FF/PM) with employment expected to begin on April 1, 2025. Applications are open for both entry-level and lateral FF/PM positions. Licensed paramedics are strongly encouraged to apply.

Application Period:
Open from October 28 to December 27, 2024, closing at 5:00 PM.
Timeline Overview:
CPAT Documentation Deadline: January 17, 2025, by 5:00 PM.
Oral Board Interviews: January 6-7, 2025.
Chiefs' Interviews: January 9, 2025.
Estimated Start Date: April 1, 2025.
Application Process:
Written Exam:
Complete the written exam through the National Testing Network (NTN) by the application deadline.
Scores must be sent directly to Clark County Fire District 6. Multiple exam attempts are allowed, based on NTN availability.
Lateral Firefighter/Paramedic Applicants:
Apply through the Lateral Paramedic posting on NTN.
Physical Abilities Test (CPAT):
Submit valid CPAT credentials dated between January 17, 2024, and January 17, 2025.
EMS Certification:
Proof of a valid EMT-P certification (National Registry or Washington State) must be submitted.
Personal History Questionnaire (PHQ):
Complete and upload the PHQ to your NTN profile by the application deadline.
Eligibility Requirements:
Age: Minimum 21 years by the date of hire.
Citizenship: Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Driver's License: Must possess a valid state-issued license.
Background: Adult felony convictions are disqualifying.
Vision: Must pass a medical-physical exam.
Veterans' preference is available.
Salary and Benefits (2025):
Annual Salary: $101,028 - $137,998.
Schedule: 24-hour shifts with rotating off-duty days.
